2. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. None.

Vocalio operates entirely on-device using Apple's built-in frameworks:

• Speech recognition — uses Apple's on-device Speech framework. Audio is processed locally and never sent to any server.
• Journal entries — stored in your device's local storage (Core Data). Never synced to the cloud unless you personally enable iCloud backup.
• AI coaching responses — generated on-device using CoreML. No text is transmitted externally.
• Mood analytics — computed locally from your entries. Not shared anywhere.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Name, email, or any account information (no accounts exist)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
• Voice recordings or transcriptions
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or any other device data

4. Third-Party Services

Vocalio uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking libraries. The app makes no network requests.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction. We receive only a notification of purchase status — no payment details.

5. iCloud & Device Backups

If you have iCloud Backup or iCloud Drive enabled on your device, Apple may back up your app data as part of your normal device backup. This is controlled entirely by your device settings — Vocalio does not initiate or control iCloud syncing. Refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how iCloud data is handled.

6. Children's Privacy

Vocalio is rated 4+ on the App Store. Since we collect no personal data from any user, we automatically comply with COPPA and similar regulations. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Your Rights

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. All your data lives on your device — delete the app to remove it entirely.

If you are in the EU (GDPR), California (CCPA), or another jurisdiction with privacy rights, these rights are already satisfied: there is no personal data to request.

8. Security

Your journal entries are stored using iOS's secure local storage. You can additionally enable Face ID / Touch ID lock within the app. Since data never leaves your device, there is no transmission to intercept.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We will notify you through an in-app notice for any material changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
